This print is inspired by Korean folk tales where there were often scenes of a Rabbit and a Tiger sharing a pipe together in an agreement that the Tiger will not eat the Rabbit. The pipe belongs to the Rabbit, or the ‘trickster’, who has convinced the Tiger not to eat him because he will then share his pipe with the Tiger and his family. A quid pro quo agreement!
About the Print - The print measures either OPTION 1 - 29x20cm or OPTION 2 - 51x35cm without the mount. The print is made onto Hahnemühle Museum Etching which is an exceptional 350gsm weight paper, smooth textured, natural white, 100% cotton pulp, acid free, specially designed for art reproduction and exceptional saturation and D-max.
The method of Giclée printing is the method of digital printing, based on printing small droplets of ink on fineart papers by high resolution, large format printers. This process produces pure colour, continuous-tone images without visible dots or patterns, as close to the original artworks. As a general rule, one could say that the life of a giclée print will exceed the life of the owner, provided that a minimum standard of care is taken when handling, exposing or storing. It is this longevity as well as the method of printing that makes such high-quality prints of the original art.
